As I mentioned a while back, Hubby and I will be going to Vegas at the end of July for a couple days. We’ve talked about doing the obligatory show while we were there, and the first thing he asked me to look for were tickets to any of the current Cirque du Soleil shows playing. Well, I looked. Then I started looking for something else.
I suppose, had I known about this trip a year ago, I could have gotten a couple of the cheap seat tickets ($100 each), but by the time I started looking, the only seats left were $275 each. As I’m not willing to auction off my kids in order to be able to afford these (at least not today that is), I opted to find something else for us to see.
We will, instead, be going to see Penn & Teller (which was my first choice anyway, closely followed by the Blue Man Group).
I had been dreaming about seeing a Vegas show a couple nights ago, and in this dream I was told by the people selling tickets that because I had never been to Vegas before, I was required to see Wayne Newton. The dream people told me that visitors to LV were not allowed to see any other show until they had seen Wayne.
Words cannot express how glad I am that it was only a dream.
