There Comes A Time...

There comes a time in a woman's life that she realizes if she wants clean underwear and socks the next day, she is just going to have to bite the bullet and do laundry today. I am such a woman.

Of course, I reach this point quite often, but I have let the laundry go much longer this week than I normally do. At this point, EVERYONE is out of socks and underwear. So, today I will just buckle down and do laundry and (maybe) applesauce at the same time.

Of course, I need to go get more apples first. I'm thinking of hitting a couple of the produce markets in the area and getting a few things other than apples to keep me occupied over the weekend. I seem to remember one of the markets having asparagus on sale. I may just have to get a bunch and pickle it.

Yummy, pickled asparagus, possibly my absolute favorite food. Yes, even more than chocolate.

I’m one sick puppy.

I think today, in honor of the sandal pledge I wrote yesterday, I may just have to wear sandals. It isn't suppose to rain too much today, so I need to take advantage of it while I can!

    Why yes I have tried Junior Caramels.

    I felt compelled to give them a go as I am so fond of their cousins.

    But alas, I was underwhelmed by them.

    Well, that will teach me. Never read your blog right after I've eaten. I may in time forget that you said pickled asparagus is even better than chocolate, but not anytime soon. Asparagus! Ick! Blech! Gag me. Almost as bad as fried ochra. ;)

    (Did I spell that right? Ah well.)

    But on a funnier side, have you ever seen the Fox Trot strip where the dad went to CostCo to buy Halloween candy? Just the candy, supposedly. Heheheh, love that comic.

    I know Peter and I always get a Costco polish sausage and one of those berry smoothy drinks. They sell the polish sausages in the frozen food section so we buy them for at home too.

    pickled ass-pair-a-gooses???? Never heard of it but something tells me I would fall into the camp that would line up for such a treat
