This all started after we reminded him that he will be old enough in a couple months to start driving. We also reminded him that we won't let him drive unless he has and maintains a B average in school. Upon this reminder, he started applying himself with much more dedication.
#1 has most of his grades within acceptable limits (at or above a C) except Algebra. We are currently talking with the school about options over the summer to bring him up to speed in the math arena. Evidently there is a program through the school district that might be a good fit for #1. I don’t have much info on it yet, but it sounds like it basically focuses on one subject to bring the student up to where they need to be in that subject.
I suppose it is too much to ask for that by next year he does the work on time and keeps his grades up from day one?
