Y... M... C... A!

Recognizing that we need to find activities for us and the kids, we re-joined the Y today. We will be going there after dinner where Hubby and the twins will lift weights then run a couple miles. #3 and I will walk the track there (the Y out in our new neighborhood has an intensive running/walking indoor track that winds all through the building rather than going around in circles). When we are done we will head down to the pool and wait for Hubby and the twins. Hubby and I then intend to camp out in the hot tub and coax our backs into relaxation mode.

#2 has asked about what he needs to do to become a lifeguard. I suspect that is one of the things we will be asking about while there tonight. I'm hoping to get all of the boys back into swimming programs, and whatever else catches their fancy. I suspect #3 will ask about getting back into gymnastics, so I will have to see if they offer it out here.

This should make do for Hubby and I as far as a Hot Tub option until we can afford to put one in the back.

Turning my thoughts to financial matters... we paid the van off last month, and after doing bills I was amazed at how much money it still appeared that we had. Of course, that money will now be turned towards some of our other debt to get it paid off/down as soon as possible.

We are also looking at refinancing the house. We ended up with two loans to get into this. It had to do with it being a new construction and having to secure the loans before the house was completed. We would like to cut down the number of checks we are sending out (figuratively speaking in many cases) and also get into a loan with a set interest percentage rather than the adjustable we went with. This should be an entertaining process. I will look at it as keeping up with my writing skills. I won't have classes for a while, so I may as well spend my time filling out forms... right?

OK, maybe not.
