Blah-blah-blah...

That’s how I’ve felt for most of the day. I perked up some in the afternoon, but felt like I would be able to fall asleep easily and early this evening.

Then the same old thing happened. 7:30 or 8:00 rolls around and I wake up and feel energized. I would love to know why my body is on this wacky schedule. More importantly, why couldn’t I have been on this sleep schedule way-back-when I worked the graveyard shift?

I got my morning glories into the planters today. I started them in water 2 days ago, and today they were well soaked and most of them have growth starting. I think I’m going to put one of the low-long planters in front of part of the fence between my house and the neighbors. The vines should provide some color and variation to the otherwise rather drab corner. I need to find something for the vines to climb on along the fence; I’m going to go look for something with a crisscross pattern to put it on the fence.

I also need to get a couple more trellises and get the rest of my climbers into the ground. I also need to look for some type of netting for the blueberry bush. I’m not worried about birds at all. It’s Indigo I’m worried about. Every time she is let out into the back she makes a beeline for the blueberry bush and eats all the green berries off of it. She has already stripped about half of the bush! I suspect I will also eventually have to find something for the raspberries when they start bearing fruit.

I’m not getting any of my gardening hopes up for the weekend though, just the shopping parts of the gardening. We are supposed to have torrential downpours starting tomorrow and lasting until October or so. OK, maybe not October, but for a week or two, or three… or…

YOu shouldfind out where there are junk shops and those places that sell off old parts of houses and buildings. Maybe you could find something unique to use as a climber. When your in Portland you should look for a place called "Scraps" It is a GOLD MINE. Did you get my e-mail with the "Fairy Chair" I thought that was cute. Junk shops might have some old beat up chairs too. Maybe some Saturday you and I can go Junking together.

Heavy string works well for climing plants, unless you want fancy.

You plant morning glory on purpose??
Oh my .. here we rip them out.. they are like weeds.. I think the white flower is pretty, but the rope like extensions (suckers) will overtake a garden in a moment.. in a blink of the eye..

They are considered weeds here.. My Dad hates them.. we fight them all summer long..
    :P)
I planted some yesterday.. but have to move them today. not enough sun.. I am a bright one..
