I did a walk through of the garden this evening, and have a very satisfied feeling now.
My broccoli is starting to look like broccoli. I've got bunches of little beets peeking their heads above ground. Radish and lettuce are rubbing elbows as the spinach waves to them from a few blocks away. Beans, peas and cucumbers are reaching for the sky. Pumpkin and watermelon are becoming more robust. The okra is looking like okra… I think (never having grown it before, I’m not sure how it should look). The artichokes are settling in nicely and the ‘maters & peppers are taking baby-steps towards being recognizable as such.
I definitely enjoy having my garden. Maybe I’ll have Hubby put in 2 more beds next year… that way I could have corn too.
