I sit here, typing and waiting for #1 to finish doing the dishes. We decided that since he was not really at fault for the fight, that he would not be grounded, but he is chore boy for the duration of his suspension.

I'm making a pseudo Thanksgiving dinner for tonight. I've been craving Turkey for a few weeks, and I'm giving into my cravings today. Turkey, stuffing and green beans. #3 asked me to make a sweet potato pie, and although I've never done it before, I'm giving it a try. I can't guarantee my success, but it should be fun to try.

The van was supposed to be done yesterday, and wasn't. I expect we will get the call tomorrow to come pick it up and give them lots of money. We were lucky to find a half price sale on the paint jobs, so it isn't as financially painful as it would have been otherwise. It will be running us in the neighborhood of $600 to get our full sized van re-painted and some minor body work done. Not too bad, but I can think of a lot of other things I could've done with that $600!

It looks like my turn in the kitchen is coming up now, #1 is almost done, and Hubby is just about finished cooking his lunch.

Hmm, lunch. That sounds good. Maybe I'll fix myself something as I start dinner.

I've been craving a turkey dinner too. Darn commercials on television. Only two more weeks though, surely I can wait that long!

Yuck, shingles. Shingles is the one of the best reasons to have children vaccinated against chicken pox.
I want turkey too. I may have to cook my TG turkey beforehand, not after as I had planned.
How do you like Survivior this season?

As if pregnancy isn't uncomfortable enough, she had to have shingles, too? Poor woman.

My medical book says that if you have shingles more than once you should see your physician. Has she done that?

The book doesn't say so specifically, but implies that you have to have chicken pox; the virus lies dormant, sometimes many years, then attacks.

As for the immunizations, my guess is that they wouldn't cause shingles later, as it's a killed virus immunization. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Hope your mother's session this time is brief, and by all means enrourage her to see her doctor if she hasn't already!!

    Shalom
