It Worked!
Mon Oct 04 2004

I was actually able to fall asleep last night at a reasonable hour!

I'm fairly sure I was asleep before 11 last night, and even though waking up at 5:30 was tough this morning, I'm not besot with exhaustion this morning like I typically am on mornings following wakeful nights.

Don't get me wrong, my body and mind are still screaming for me to go back to sleep, but it is not as compelling of an argument as on other mornings. I think jumping into the shower after the kids are out the door to school will chase away any further arguments for sleep my body is making.

With luck, homework will go smoothly and quickly. I'm about half way through my notes, but the remainder should go quickly.

I had expected to wake to the news that Mt. St. Helens had burped overnight, but it seems that everyone is still waiting for her to do so. Oh well.

I seem to have fallen into a pattern of sleep 4 hours, up 2 hours, then back for 4 hours (unless I set the alarm clock).

I don't like the pattern. Even with 6 hours straight I can function. This 4-hour routine just doesn't get it for me. Eight hours in a row would be delicious, but I can't remember the last time I did that.

    Ok. Shower time.

Well, her Saintliness has gone and burped now! I rather hope that's the bulk of it, and no one will end up threatened with quantities of ash like the last time, but it sounds like the verdict on that is still out.

Chocolate I'll go along with. But BEER? with it. I'll pass.

Good luck on the results of your test!

I'd happily send you the chocolate, and even the beer. But I don't know that they would get there in time to help.
