My Words My Way

Sunday is Coming
Sat Apr 19 2025

I went to the coolest Good Friday service last night!!! Since Jesus died on a cross for us yesterday it was treated as a funeral service and at the end we were in darkness. Today is the second day before Sunday comes and it's the day of darkness. I can't imagine how disciples and other of bible times lived through these three days. Did they think it was going to be dark forever? Did they know Jesus was coming and would rise again on the third day? He said he would, but he spoke in parables so I often wonder if his disciples and followers knew what he meant.

I read from the book of Ephesians this morning and so over joyed by what His Word says...

Ephesians 1:4-10

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

NIV: New International Version

So if you are discouraged today and living in darkness. God has chosen you, He sent his son to die on a cross for you. Take heart, for Sunday is coming!!!

Until next time readers...have a great day!!! 😃

This is third time todsy trying to comment on your Easter holiday diary entry, so I hopes it lets me finish and post before the comment disappears on me while I am trying to write my comment. Darn screen disappearing on me, lol. Anywsy, here I go one more time. Bear with me, okay? Thanks to keys we hit by accident, right? Yeah, anyway, here I go for the third time here in comments, lol and not laughing now this late hour on Sunday night. The Bible is ONE of several versions in my home. It’s one of favorite books I own proudly. Some days I open it more than I can count, so when I do personally or digitally, or read aloud during Sabbath school or sermon, my face grows warm from being embarrassed because I was spiritually caught of wrongdoing, get noticeable goosebumps and pimpled on my arms and face, and shivers up and down my back I have because those verses are talking about me! That can be me the Bible verses are talking about me?! Me?! WOWEE! Yikes abd OOPS at that moment in time and SPACE escaping me from a memory or more in my own life personally! YIKES! Jesus knows me well! He put me in the right place at the right time in my life that second in life. A relief of hidden guilt or I am glad I’m not the only sinner.

I love the Bible too. I have been studying imn the book of Ephesians and it's definitely like God is talking to me. I also started a study on the book of John. I am so glad the Bible is living an active. It shows me daily that God is always with us and we are never alone!!! Guess I should try and go back to sleep it's almost 3:30 am and I have having trouble going back to sleep. Have a great and fabulous Monday.
