For some time now people have been struggling with inputing their entries onto DD – at least it seems that those who were using the HTML editor and IE8 were having issues. I think there was an incompatibility with the old HTML editor which for some reason was only showing for users of IE8. Unfortunately…

The new shiny server turned out to be a pile of poo and I had to revert everything back to the old server. The hardware was not set up correctly and the server technicians answer was ‘we will need to reload your server’… My response was ‘I don’t think so – I have 100 customers…

I think it might be the usual misbehaving spider causing the problems, but I shall reserve judgement for now.. I know there is a particularly badly behaved spider on the net that tries to grab hundreds of diary pages in one go and causes massive server problems… We shall see whether my changes to robots.txt…
