New HTML Editor and MASSIVE price reduction for Plus accounts

Plus account holders now have a spivvy whizzy HTML editor in place of the standard textarea, so that you can bold things, and italic them, along with adding smileys , images, links etc etc… All the things you’d find in a good web based HTML editor

So, if you’re a Plus user you’ll see the fancy new editor automatically. At the moment there isn’t a way to switch it off if you don’t like it, but if people want that as a feature then please drop us a line and we’ll add it.

In other news, we have SLASHED the price for Plus accounts, effective immediately. The new price for a one year Plus account is now a mere $18, with 6 months being $10 and 1 month being $2 (all prices US Dollars). Now there’s really no good reason for not going Plus!!! There’ll be more features coming along soon, and the HTML Editor, and much other goodness, is only available to Plus users. To see what Plus users get, visit the features list.

  1. WooHoo! Spivvy whizzy is right…..what a nifty little suprise.

I’m liking those new prices as well. Will it be applied to those of us who recently renewed? (hint, hint…LOL)

  2. What a generous price reduction! So I guess now would be a good time to ask you (yet once more) for your mailing address as I will slip a check into the mail forthwith!

I hereby solomnly promise to write it in my address book so as to trouble you no further about it.

    😉

I hope lots of people take advantage of the plus account now. It sure is worth it!

    Thanks…

  3. I’m pretty new to DD.net but seeing the prices being slashed like this, I can hardly resist. Here goes nothing…

    Thanks so much!

  4. Wow, Steve! The new changes are just great. I was planning to email you about the new email interface, which I love, and then I decide to use the "Add Entry" instead of Bloggar, and there’s a new interface there, too. Again, wow.

And then you lower the prices? Rock on, dude!

    Hugs,
    Ani

Uh…that would be me. I tend to like a nice clean, clutter free interface, with simple text posting. Fast, easy, and no frills.

An option to use the old interface in the Preferences would be nice.

  6. With reference to what Elizer said, maybe it would be a good idea to be able to turn off the fancy new editor.

It’s been giving me a little trouble when posting online surveys with HTML. Or maybe it’s just me who’s a little daft and haven’t figured how to make it compatible.

    Either way, great job :).

  7. Whoa, I thought the prices were cheap already! That’s awsome. I also like the new look. I don’t know when that happened, but it looks great. The HTML editor did have my head spinning for a few minutes, until I found the "source" button, lol.

  8. I’m another one who’d like a "switch it off" button. Being able to insert smilies etc is fun, but I’ve found the new editor has a little bit of lag, which for a fast typist is a serious distraction. And I’m used to entering my own html tags, so I keep forgetting not to!
