I haven’t written here for several years.

This is astonishing in many ways. The impulses we have to begin something that immediately goes back ‘underground’ so to speak, are very complex.

Because of many factors, I am feeling the need to revisit this blog and overcome the fear factor of writing about the most important part of my life.

I am Jewish.

The most important thing about being a Jew for me is the study of Torah. It’s not the cultural part, the religious part, or the keeping of customs. (Not, God forbid, that these things aren’t important, or that I don’t DO them!) But the thing that drives me is Torah. Deep Torah.

I am hoping to begin to share some of the things that I am learning, and perhaps links to those I learn Torah from. I wanted to keep this separate from my other blog as it is the more esoteric part of my life, and it seemed appropriate to make that distinction. A sort of inner chamber.

So here I am.

I don’t know what it’s going to look like. I don’t know how I will proceed. But I’m beginning.

The Rabbis have a saying… “All beginnings are difficult.” In many ways, this beginning took four years. I opened this page four years ago. I think it’s high time I finished the beginning!
