A Prayer to Say When Fear is Controlling Your Life at Any Moment

i am doing a devotional at www.Bible.com titled Spiritual Warfare Battle Plan. I have done three days out of five. I have fears and they plague me at times; it takes me away from God for the moment, hour, day, and whatever the fear may be at the time. I don’t remember to go Jesus Christ for help. My fears make me feel I am in a different world, isolated from what is really happening to me that is not harming me. Bing Crosby the cat is older now, thinner (7 lbs) and my fear of losing him has happened in the past several weeks day in and day out. Today’s devotional has a prayer I found worth sharing and keeping for myself to look to.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus I come to You repenting of giving in to feelings of fear. I rebuke the spirit of fear that is working to entrap me, steal my faith, rob my peace, and otherwise riddle me with anxiety, in Christ’s name. I choose faith, trust, and love. I fear and trust the Lord only, in the name of the Christ. Amen.

Thank you for taking the time to know me and where I am as a person.

For There Is One God

Daily Devotion Day 1

there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus Christ died for you. He gave Himself as a ransom for you. He paid the penalty of sin just for you. Through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, you are free from the bondage of sin. When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are redeemed from the imprisonment of sin and God sees you through the Blood of His Son — Jesus Christ.

When you are in Christ, the entanglement of sin no longer lords over your life and you are free through Jesus Christ. When sin entered the world through Adam’s disobedience, the penalty decreed by God Himself — was death. God could not abandon or forsake His Word, so He sent His Son in the flesh to satisfy the penalty of sin for all.

Jesus Christ laid down His life for a sin that He never committed. Jesus Christ was blameless. Jesus Christ took on the penalty of sin even though He was sinless. Jesus Christ—God in the flesh— came to Earth as a man in order to Lord over and to conquer sin.

Man could not redeem himself. Man needed a Savior. So God sent His Son in order to redeem us back to Himself.

1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all [people, a fact that was] attested to at the right and proper time.” Jesus is our mediator.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Mediator” is, ‘mesitēs’ (G3316) which means, “One who intervenes between two, either in order to make or restore peace and friendship, or form a compact, or for ratifying a covenant.”

Jesus reconciled the covenant between God and man. Through His death, Jesus Christ submitted to the will of God the Father and conquered death, hell and the grave.

When you are in Christ, there is no bondage that can keep you entangled to the grip of sin. When you are in Christ, He has given you the power to conquer every attack of the enemy. Jesus Christ conquered sin and through Him, you have the victory to overcome it as well.

Submit to Christ. Do not surrender to the lust of the flesh. Christ conquered the flesh and sin — just for you.

The Armour of God

This devotional was started today, June 27, 2020. I wanted to share this devotional from the internet with you.

Devotional

Put On The Whole Armour Of God.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let’s examine Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬. The first word in this passage is, “Put”. When you “put” on the entire armor of God, you’re intentionally dressing yourself with every part of His Word. Choose to put on the whole armor of God. Don’t cherry-pick His Word. Don’t self-select the parts of the Bible that you choose to obey. Digest His entire Word. God requires your participation. You have to make the choice to put on the armor of God.

Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Actively put on God’s armor so that the enemy will not take you off guard. You can’t defeat the enemy in your own armor — your flesh. You can’t defeat the enemy in your own strength. You can’t defeat the enemy with your carnal intellect. Only God’s armor can keep you and protect you from the snares and traps of the enemy. Only God’s Word can defeat and destroy the enemy’s tactics.

Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.” God supplies your armor. God is the One who gives you strength, courage, tenacity and the boldness to fight the enemy.

Action:

Are there gaps in your armor? Are you trying to defeat the enemy in your own strength? Choose to surrender to God daily. Read the entire chapter of Ephesians 6. Pray and ask God to equip you for your assignment.

The Armor of God — Eph 6:10-20

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

My Need To Be With God

Due to the fact of dialysis on Saturdays, I can not attend church with friends (my church family). I have Bible study with my boyfriend KB and his mom TB once worship, potluck, and prayer group are over at my place. We read, examine the scripture in the Bible, and talk about the lesson of the week. Today was no different. I couldn’t go to dialysis today due to weather conditions again, so I stayed home and rested until KB & his mom TB got here. I take my studies with them seriously, even though I am tired and sleepy when they come. I have found the past two weeks of not having study time with them not fun because of the weather stopped anyone from coming over or getting out. Today the church was open for worship. I miss going to church, and my health needs to take priority.

NKJV Bible Verse of the Day

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
