Congo candidate huge bedraggle

Yes, it’s the return of the weird spam headers!

I’ve had a pretty non sort of week since I last posted here (which is why it’s been a week since I last posted here…). I spent most of last week paying for the fact that I’d had a day off work by trying frantically to catch up with work and study (my essay that was due on Friday ended up getting written very quickly at the last minute on Thursday night), which didn’t leave a lot of time for anything else. The weekend was uneventful too, by choice. We’ve had a few too many busy weekends lately, plus MrPloppy had another dentist appointment on Thurday (the worst yet), so was in need of some quiet recovery time, so we decided to spend the weekend doing as little as possible, and succeeded at our goal.

Of course, the trouble with doing nothing is that I’ve got nothing to write about. And I had nothing to talk about in my Spanish class yesterday. The lecturer always starts Monday’s lessons by asking a few people “¿Qué hiciste el fin de semana?” (What did you do at the weekend?), and you can guarantee I’ll only be picked on when I’ve got nothing to talk about. Last Monday, when I’d just come back from Alexandra, and could have come up with all sorts of things to answer with, he didn’t ask me, but yesterday of course I was the first person he asked, and I couldn’t think of a thing to say… I probably should have made something up, but I wasn’t feeling inventive enough, so I ended up just saying “No hice nada” (I didn’t do anything) because I couldn’t think of the Spanish for “blobbed around the house and played a few computer games”.

  1. My spanish is a little rusty but I beleive it would go something along the lines of "puesto alrededor de la casa y jugado algunos juegos de computadora" All things being equal its a lot easier to say you did nothing!
