My internet connection has been down for a few days due to a damaged modem that happened during one of our recent thunderstorms.
Being off line pointed out to me the depth of my addiction to cyberspace.
There’s no use denying it.
We loves the ‘series of tubes’, * yes we do.
I mean, how can we talk to you all if we don’t have the tubes open??
I have been doing a LOT of outdoor work these last few weeks.
This is what’s going on in my garden…
The peas are coming right along!
That’s J.R. in the background. He’s a very intelligent horse with an old soul.
Planted under the teepees are beans. Two varieties of dry beans. And in the mounds, crookneck squash.
The potatoes are popping up in a very satisfactory fashion. I have Yukon Gold, old fashioned Russet Burbank, and Red Norland.
In the foreground are two buckets of compost that I am using like it’s gold. Which it is. Lovely stuff given to me by Mr. P.
In the far corner at the top of that picture is a hill of butternut squash.
The black garden fencing sections and colorful tomato cages will be the home of my tomato plants when I have the courage to put them out. I’m pretty sure we are past the frost stage of things. But I’m just waiting a few more days. I also planted a lot of flowers around the edges of the garden. Zinnia, morning glory, nasturtium and marigolds here and there. Also some sunflowers.
I still have room for more in the center of the garden, I’m not sure what I will be putting there, but parsley is on the list. I may go to the feed store and stare at the seed racks until something speaks to me.
(That may be a long wait Cupcake, seed packets don’t talk.)
Shows what YOU know. You don’t have a gardener’s soul. Seed packets DO talk to us.
