The Wild Domestic
Nothing says country like a pair of goats….
And such happy looking goats at that. lol
I totally LOVE goats! We always had them when I was a kid. (heheh.) The only thing I wasn’t wild about was milking them at 6 a.m. The 6 p.m. milking never bothered me. They were a lot of fun to play with, especially the babies. They are smarter than people think, and they can learn tricks just as easily as dogs. But when they are allowed to run loose on the ranch they do climb on cars like little mountain goats and leave cute little goatie foot prints all over you car. Kinda like cats, only cloven hoof patterns!
I too had a few years with goats myself when my dad a few goats during my teenage years. They are adorable and definitely smart and just plain fun. We had a goat that had four kids and each family member had a goat each from this one goat. I remember my brother’s goat and loved her to pieces. The mother goat had 3 female goats and 1 male goat, They were loads of fun, I hear you on the milking so early in the morning. My brother and I, dad helped too, had chores every morning and night before and after school. Enjoyable! Not really but had to be done.
I remember having goats when I was a teenager when my dad raised a few for a few years. It was fun. These goats in your shared picture are darn cute! Thanks for sharing, Yetzirah! Love them both!
GOATS!!!! I have a love/hate relationship with goats. I want one but I was traumatized as a child when one ate my straw purse and attempted to eat my dress. As an adult I had one pee on my while trying to eat my pants.
