Last night I walked out into the back yard with the dogs while they had their last potty opportunity of the evening, and as I was gazing at the three planets I can see in the sky from our yard, I heard an odd sound.

It was coming from the sky directly overhead. I could not identify this sound as I had never heard it before. I looked and looked and didn’t see a thing, but the sound was quite clear.

I began to question my sanity.

(Don’t we all?)

I kept looking, because the sound was recurring on and off.

Finally, I saw… a whitish line in the night sky, moving south.

What the HECK is THAT?

I was picturing myself on Ancient Aliens, pointing at the sky saying, “It was right up there. It was making this creepy sound I have never heard. It was weird!”

Then I heard a completely new sound from a different area of the sky, and saw another whitish line.

Well, you can imagine my relief when I realized I was looking at and hearing two Barn Owls calling to each other.
