Now to be honest, I took many breaks to ease the tension…. a seamstress would get the pun…. and ended up doing the hand sewing after dinner. I’m very happy with the results… It’s very ‘me’. That’s the thing about sewing, you get to make something just to your liking, or close to it depending upon your sewing skills. Mine lean toward the plain and simple, but there you have it. I’m not the victorian type. If I wasn’t Jewish, I think I’d be Amish. (That dress is way too fancy for an Amish girl. Be honest. I can’t deny it. I could be the rogue Amish girl. The one who is always getting into trouble with the elders. (I think we have established you are already in trouble. In MANY areas.) I want a PINK dress! Sewing is a decent domestic skill. Blink, blink. I live with a crazy bunch of characters, do I not? (Need I remind you….) Can it ( ). I have to go clean up dog urp. Where’s my apron?……… Told you so.
Yesterday I embarked on what turned into a day long sewing session.
The shocking use of plaid. And BUTTONS! Tsk tsk.)
Make me a pink dress.
With fairy wings.
And a princess crown!
Sparkly!
But what you SHOULD have made
is a good sturdy apron.
I think I saw some dog urp
on the bedroom rug.
Let’s get our priorities right shall we?
