I’m not sure when it actually happened.
But at some point in my adult life, I acquired a taste for brussels sprouts.
It was quite the surprise let me tell you.
I think I can say with complete confidence, that now they are my most favoritest vegetable.
However, there are two caveats.
1. I only buy fresh brussels sprouts.
2. You absolutely cannot overcook them.
I admit, the quality of taste does vary according to the growing conditions. But overall, I just love them to bits. Everyone has a vegetable that they think is disgusting. I personally cannot abide raw onions. But cook those pungent puppies and I’m all over ‘em.
Anyone want to discuss Cilantro?
I read somewhere that this is one of those herbs you either adore or despise. Put me in the despise column thank you very much.
(The title says in defense of brussels sprouts, let’s stay on topic.)
Don’t get me started on punctuation….I could write volumes.
And in answer to one question…. the purple bits in the roast lunch are blue potatoes. Bought them at Trader Joe’s in a little bag of three potato varieties. Highly recommend them.
