Yesterday, Hub Man went out into the back yard and fetched our crop of oranges off the tree. I can’t say we had a bumper crop, but the ones that DID ripen are beautiful. They are Clementines, though not seedless. Small like a tangerine and sweet as honey this year. I think it’s all the cold weather. I read somewhere that citrus trees actually like cool nights… up to a point of course.
Anyway, here are some resting in a bowl:

It is a most satisfying thing to have food growing in your own yard. Even if it is in small quantities.
