by Robert Louis Stevenson
The rain is falling all around,
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.
And there you have it. Except for the umbrella part. I still don’t have one. I need to put that on a list somewhere so that I remember to look for one next time I’m out.
Today I accomplished a lot in the errand department. Delivered books to the used book store, mailed off a package to Australia, hand delivered an important bit of paper to our people who watch over our important bits of paper, secured milk and fruit for the next few days, and went to knitting group where I consumed a nice hot chocolate and made progress on the birthday socks among friendly company.
It rained buckets on the way home though. Whew! I’m still damp around the edges.
Hub Man has been home the last two days with a cold. I’m sorry he’s sick, but it’s nice to have him around. The dogs I’m sure were delighted to be able to stay in the nice warm house while I was out and about instead of languishing in the cold garage. It’s good to have someone around to keep the home fires burning so to speak. I’m a big believer in home fires.
Speaking of hot chocolate….
Oh by the way, if you get a minute, go see Salamander bonding with her fish hat.
