Just when you thought things were getting mundane…
Along comes some ‘entertainment’.
The four legged kind.
The SHORT four legged kind.
Meet our newest foster….
He came to us with the name ‘Tony’ attached to him. We decided it didn’t really fit him at all.
He is a light sable Sheltie with a heavy dose of blue merle coloring. He has a little half moon of blue in his left eye and … well… he has spots.
As all good blue merles should. But his are… well his special take on them.
He reminded me of a leopard. So we have re-named him ‘Leo’.
Last night he got to have a cuddle with Sunny.
But lest you think Sunny is mothering him, I really have to be honest and tell you she only tolerated this because she was on the couch next to Hub Man… the prime location of the whole house, so she put up with it. Leo didn’t care what Sunny’s motivations were. He just snuggled right up.
And yes, Leo’s feet are green. We mowed the lawn yesterday evening and he ran around on it right afterward.
I don’t imagine we will have him for long. He’s a sweet, happy, well mannered little boy and most likely we will have a home for him very soon.
Sunny says, the sooner the better. She’s tired already of having her ears licked to within an inch of their lives. But Leo isn’t easily put off. He follows her everywhere and does what she does, looks at what she looks at, smells what she smells… it’s adorable.
Ben doesn’t quite know what to think. One minute they are chasing each other around the couch having fun, and the next he is letting Leo know he’s a noisy little pest and he better back off.
Fiona bopped him on the nose once, and he has ignored her ever since.
The one nice thing about puppies is that they DO have to take naps.
Otherwise I might be overwhelmed.
Naps are good.
Here is what he has been doing while I have been writing this entry…
Now that’s sweet.
Yep. He’s all mine.
