We have a new foster dog.
She came on Sunday.
She has issues.
Though you would never know to look at her.
Why IS that?
She came from a home with too much activity of the toddler kind. We got to see this first hand because the whole family came when they dropped her off to us. Sadie has had it with little girls. She doesn’t like to be touched pretty much anywhere past her front legs and she lets you know in a toothy and snarly way. We are hoping against hope that we can calm her down.
Actually there IS hope, because yesterday she brought me her ball to throw. We played fetch for a little while, but brushing out her dense undercoat? Well, that was another thing altogether. We are working on solutions. I really am going to look deep into my bag of tricks for this one. Because biting is on the top of the list of things that make our dogs unadoptable.
Where’s the Dog Whisperer when I need him?
Oh yeah. Sadie thinks cats are a food group.
(WHY do you do this? Are you crazy?)
Why doesn’t Sadie like me?
I’m a nice little girl.
I won’t chase her around the house.
come here Sadie.
I have a headache.
(Pass me the aspirin. I’ll join you.)
