The sky is full of puffy white fair weather cumulus clouds today. The temperatures are still coolish. But I can hear the grass growing in the back yard. Radish and spinach seeds have sprouted overnight. I KNEW they would like the rain!
My two planters by the fountain are full to bursting with dichondra this year. I’m not sure why I’m growing it, but I just like the stuff. However, there’s one hardy plant among all that greenery that has a foothold and will not give up.
I guess they feel they have a right to their little plot of earth and that’s the end of it. Invasive dichondra be damned.
The tomato plants are still pretty small, but are putting on new leaves. Soon they will be a force to be reckoned with. Here’s a few of my little brood. I knew them when they was just pups…I mean seeds.
I have about seven more plants I don’t know what to do with. I really hesitate to plant them ALL. I think that would make about 21 plants in the ground. That seems excessive.
(When has this ever stopped you from doing imprudent things?)
Where’s my trowel? I think I feel a severe case of imprudence coming on.
(I’m always right about these things… always.)
