Somebody Hug That Dog. Quick!

Oh I have such happy news to report!

Yesterday I bundled Ben up into the car and we drove over to visit Classy.

You could have knocked me over with a feather when I first clapped eyes on her.

I had to look it up, but she has been in her new home for 51 days.

This is what she looked like back then…

This is what she looked like yesterday:

Her coat, that used to feel like a brillo pad, is now soft and feathery and thick. You can't see any of her skin anymore either. Her toe is completely healed and looks normal.

My heart is full.

She has been given a new name. 'Cassie'. I heartily approve. She has bonded with her new person very well. She hardly left her side. Though she did come and say hello to me a few times, I think she remembers me. She didn't want to share her new person with Ben though. Certain body language was exchanged. ;-) and Ben decided that the squirrel in the back yard was a MUCH better thing to focus on. He REALLY wanted that squirrel.

He even came over to me several times, hoping I could go up that tree and GET that squirrel FOR him. I wish I could have captured some of his elegant leaps into the air to try and reach the squirrel.

They were very entertaining.

Anyway, it was such a happy afternoon. I'm still smiling.

Classy/Cassie is happy and healthy.

All's right with the world.
