Sharp Objects And Wool Bits


At the knitting retreat, I saw a lot of new things. One of those new things immediately went on my 'to do' list. It's called 'needle felting'.

I ventured forth as soon as I could and bought the simple tools.

Here is my project, worked on a swatch I made using the sample of Spud and Chloe wool and cotton yarn that we were given that came with a kit. I didn't knit up the cupcake, but I absolutely love this yarn.



You use bits of yarn and a barbed needle to poke said yarn into your fabric. Poke, poke, poke.



Pretty soon you have a finished bit of embroidery on your knitting. Here's what it looks like on the back:
