Dairy, our credit card bill has a new feature on it. Apparently it is to make people aware of how much they actually owe and not just what the minimum payment is. Anyway the feature tells you how long it will take you to pay the debt off if you make the minimum payment. If you pay more each month than the minimum payment then the minimum payment goes down each month(this is a ploy to keep your balance high). I don’t look at crap like credit card bills, mortgage payments, or utility bills so Lynn was telling me about this new feature. She said that it said if we made the minimum payment we would have our card paid off in 15 years. I thought man we must owe a lot, so I asked what is the minimum payment? Lynn says $00.00. Okay….if we don’t make any payments for 15 years then we will have this card paid off, that sounds pretty darn good to me. But I wonder what the minimum payment would be next month if we skipped a payment this month? Where’s the logic?!?!?

Dairy, I had a good weekend. Saturday we went to the local ice cream place for a free waffle cone; all we had to do was wear our PJs. Then me and Lynn or for grammatical fanatics Lynn and I went to a state park and had a good time just cruising, walking, and talking.

Well that’s my weekend.

Dairy, this week has been kinda of slow, but the week before was busy. Sunday night we had to take Jamie to the ER with a kidney stone. It was a long night for Lynn and Jamie. It was usual for me, I went to work from the hospital. He was in such pain. We had a recheck yesterday and the doctor says he passed it. He never told us what causes them or gave any pointers on what could prevent them in the future. He acted like he didn’t care one way or the other. But Lynn’ll do some research and probably find our more than the dork, uh doctor could’ve told us anyway.

Last week the baptist association was taking up “Buckets of Hope” for Haiti. For less than 30 dollars you could send enough food to feed a family of 4 for one week. They gave out info on exactly what to buy and how to pack it. This was a nation wide effort by The Southern Baptist and it was estimated that there would be 150,000 buckets collected. Our association had over 300, but I haven’t heard a final number. I helped collect mon & tues, and Lynn went with me friday. I really enjoyed it, especially friday. It’s nice to see all the folks giving and helping others. I may not be able to go to Haiti and help rebuild but I could load the buckets in a truck so that they could be sent. If they ain’t loaded they won’t get there.

About wednesday morning last week the guy who runs my machine on 1st shift(and thinks it’s his machine), came buy and wants to show me something. He opens the doors and starts to telling me we did this and that and that and lost half a shift. He using a real condenscending tone and says you remember when I asked you if it was running good and you said yes(it was at the time, I arsn’t no physic or whatever).
Well I got a little riled so I walked off….and the idiot follows me and wants to know if I’m mad. I told him heck yea I was mad, you called me a liar. He says no,no,no I was just telling you what we did. Then he asks how’d it run last night. I told him I didn’t know and walked off.
The next day he comes up to me and apoligizes and I told him what I didn’t like being called a liar or being talked to like I was stupid. I pointed out that it wasn’t the first time he’s did that.
This dude runs 2 different machines and comes in about 40 minutes early and asks me and the other operator all kinds of questions about the machines. It can be aggravating but it’s really not a big deal, most of the time. And I’ve only gotten really mad at him twice in three years, and only had words with him once(last week), but the other operator and operators on 2nd get really mad all the time. Well my workleader said he was gonna put a stop to it, so he talked to the 1st shift work leader and the dude was told not to talk to us until he clocks in at seven minutes til.
The timing was really rotten because it was a couple of days right after our words and I knew he thought I was behind it and I had that verified by one of the other 1st shift operators. This guy gets cussed out on a regular basis and usaully after a good cussin he won’t bother that person, so odds are he wouldn’t have bothered me anymore for putting the man on him(at least I thought I did). But I hate someone thinking that I hold a grudge and am vengeful…so I talked to him and told him because of the timing he would think I was behind it but I assured him I wasn’t and told him I didn’t hold grudge. I assure him he had apologized and I had accepted it and as far I was concerned we was back at square one. So we got it straight, although it would have been easier and nicer if he had thought I was behind it and left me alone. But he doesn’t mean any harm, he’s just naturally aggravating and 99.99% of the time I can grin and bear it, let slide off my back, take it in stride, and all the other cliches. So the last couple days we have been back to normal.

Man that took longer than I thought it would.
