Dairy, God works. A couple from our church approached our food pantry coordinators and asked if they could take a friend some food. They said sure. This dude had apparently missed lots of work lately due to illnesses and they was struggling money wise. This couple reported that they arrived and knocked on the door and the dude asnwered the door, took the food, and invited them in like he had wasn’t the least bit surprised that someone showed up with some food for them. They thought that was sort of odd. But during conversation the dude asked if so and so had called them, this couple said no and asked why. Apparently so and so had some connection with someone from our church. Anyway the man said that he had called and talked to so and so and that so and so was out of town, so when these people arrived with some food he just assumed that so and so had arranged for them to bring some food. Then it dawned on everyone that God was at work and providing food for these people when they needed it from an unexpected source. God is in control and knows what we need when we need it. It sounded a lot like one of the stories we usually hear when we go to Grifton. It may not sound like a lot; just a couple of bags of groceries; but for this couple it was probably a lot bigger than it sounds to me.
