Dairy,
We had our quarterly communication meeting at work last night with the company president. PSYCH!!!!!!!!!!! Our company president is retiring in April. I was really impressed with him, he told us that he intended to enjoy his retirement and he thanked us an gave us the credit for him being able to do that. He always starts meetings with prayer and he prays in Christ name, which makes all the difference in the world. After the experience I had at Continental Tire I really appreciate working for a company that values the manual labor. At all the meetings from supervisors to the company president I have heard it acknowledged that without us grunts the company would not be successful. I just hope the new president keeps this attitude alive; he spoke last night and from what he said I believe he will.
Dairy, that brings to mind the comment obama made to hillary about being on the board of wal-mart, he said it like an insult, but helping run a major business is probably the best thing on her resume for being president. I’ve worked for two major companies who are at or near the top of their industry world wide and both companies were among top paying and best benefits in manufacturing for the counties they are in; I’m very thankful for major corporations and their impact on my quality of life as an adult. Now don’t go misunderstanding me and thinking I’m endorsing hillary, I think I’m gonna vote for Mike Huckabee.
Dairy I’ll be glad when the primaries are over and the candidates start debating between the republicans and democrates. I’ll never forget them Bush vs. gore debates; Bush wiped the floor with poor gore the big bore, that’s for sure. But Dairy, I just can’t see the debates for this election being as interesting as those were. I just can’t get fully behind anyone as of right now. There are things that I dislike about each one of the candidates; I may have to vote for some poor third party candidate. One of the best debates I ever saw was between 4 or 5 candidates from parties I had never heard of, I think that was in 2000, and some of them had real good platforms even if the didn’t have a chance of winning.
Dairy, my little boy arsn’t so little no more, his foot is just about as big as mine. He’s still small for his age but then again I’m not a tall person, I started to say I’m not so big but that depends on whether you measure up or out. That boy still has some CHRISTmas money left, I couldn’t do that when I was his age, money was to me then what ice cream is now, I go through it as quick as I get it. Though I hain’t had no ice cream in a good long while now, man I may have to go get some sometime soon.
Well Dairy, looks like my time in the spotlight of the top ten is over. I think it lasted for about 4 days. I don’t why after years of getting 3 or 4 hits between entries I started get’em like crazy. It was actually interesting looking at the hits and seeing the names of the servers or whatever they are called. I guess it was so cold all over the country that people just go so bored being couped up inside and were doing anything for boredom relief.
Dairy I usually read for entertainment, it don’t take no physical exertion. Right now I’m reading The Gathering Storm by W.E. Davis. It’s the first in a series called Valley of the Peacemaker. It’s a christian western and I intend to read the rest of the series, it’s been pretty good so far. I recently read Commanche Moon the prequel to Lonesome Dove and then they came out with a miniseries about it. I wasn’t able to watch it because I’d have to leave for work in the middle of it, but I may find it on DVD and watch it. I’ll sit there through the whole thing saying that’s not what happened in the book. If I remember correctly Maggie who had Call’s son was still alive in Lonesome Dove but she died in Commanche Moon which was set before Lonesome Dove. I wonder if anyone has pointed that out to Larry McMurtry. I’m not 100% sure because it’s been awhile since I read Lonesome Dove and I couldn’t find it to double check, but I think I’m right, I’ll scan Lonesome Dove the next time I go to the library.
Dairy that’s all the crap I gots for now talk to ya later dude.
ISAIAH 12:2 BEHOLD, GOD IS MY SALVATION: I WILL TRUST, AND NOT BE AFRAID; FOR THE LORD JEHOVAH IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG; HE ALSO IS BECOME MY SALVATION.
