uniformed

Dairy,
Well today we got them long awaited uniforms. The first thing I was told during my orientation was we would be getting company uniforms soon. That was in Oct and here it is almost august and now we has them.

DAiry, my belts were squeling so bad it got embarassing cranking up the car after work. I got them fixed this week. The car needed 3 belts.

Dairy, I heard something interesting today. I know a dude who “saw” himself in a pulpit and now he thinks he is suppose to be a preacher. This dude don’t even go to church and doesn’t even try to live the Christian life, he may or may not be saved it is not for me to judge but based on his lifestyle he either ain’t or he just ain’t living like it. I’ve been saved since I was seven and I ain’t always lived like so I can identified with that. But I find it hard to believe that God would call someone who isn’t actively striving to live according to His commands. That was my iniatial reaction then I thunk of Paul, so I read up on Paul. According to Acts when Paul was converted on the Damascus road he was told to go on to Damascus and then he would be told what to do. Paul was saved and then called to be a missionary. I’m going out on a limb and saying if’n he hadn’t of been obedient in going to Damascus then he likely would not have been called to preach. That’s how I see it, but I may be wrong. Maybe God is calling this dude to be a preacher, I don’t know.

Well Dairy, that’s all have for now I’ll see ya later dude.

ACTS 9:9 AND HE WAS THREE DAYS WITHOUT SIGHT, AND NEITHER DID EAT NOR DRINK.

I IS VONSTEGALL AND I AM NOW A MAN IN UNIFORM(AND LYNN IS A WOMAN WITH LESS WASHING TO DO)!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOLL FREE ROADS ARE A MUST

DAiry,
How are ya dude? I’m doing good. We had an awesome trip. We worked hard and played hard. The warehouse in Grifton has changed it’s name. It’s not the NCBM Disaster Relief Headquarters no more. It is the Grifton Mission Ministries. The sign is the only thing that has changed. It has the same function and director.

Dairy, one of the jobs we worked on was so touching. A lady had to go to the hospital. When she was well enough to come home the doctor would not allow it because of the condition of the trailer they live in, so she is in assisted living right now. Then her husband went into the hospital. Some how or another the GMM was contacted and agreed to upgrade the trailer. Well the trailer was in such bad shape that the group that was there the week before us bought them a newer trailer. The old one was a 54 model and they purchased an 89. The first day we worked an article came out in the local paper about the couple and the other group. It told that apporximately 6-8 thousand dollars was needed to finish the job. Dairy, we cleared the lot the first day and then we started cutting some pines that needed to come down the second day. While we was working an elderly man came up and asked for Billy. He gave him $2500 to help total strangers. Then another lady came up and handed one of the boys 2 checks totaling $75. When we got back to the warehouse for dinner Billy checked the mail and there was 4 more checks. The total was $3100. The Lord used a youth group and a newspaper reporter to make a very real difference in these people’s lives. I’m thankful for the group that bought the trailer for them and I’m also thankful for the small part we got to play in helping prepare the lot for thier new home.

Dairy, part of our group prepped and painted some rooms for a church that was remodeling a building to start a rehab ministry for women who have drug problems. We also insulated underneath a house and we cleaned the sleeping quarters, bathrooms, showers, kitchen, dininghall, and part of the warehouse at GMM.

Dairy, I got to do something that meant an awful lot to me. Tuesday I got the drive a bucket truck to the jobsite. Then on Wednesday I delivered insulation to two houses. I know that don’t sound like much dude, but in order to drive both of those trucks you had to have a CDL. I felt like such a failure last fall when I came home and ended my “truck driving career” after 2 weeks on the job. I was so happy to be able to use my liscense to help someone even in such a small capacity.

Dairy, we had a barbecue at church. We don’t charge we just cook it up and serve it to whoever shows up. It went over pretty well, we had good food and good fellowship.

Well Dairy I reckon we are all caught up now. I’ll see ya later dude.

MATTHEW 19:26 BUT JESUS BEHELD THEM, AND SAID UNTO THEM, “WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”.

I BE VONSTEGALL AND MY BACK ITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on the upswing

Dariy,
How are ya doing dude? I haven’t writed lately basically because I’ve felt like crap for several months. I just haven’t felt like talking to anyone. My mom is convinced that I’m mad at her or that she did something horrible to me as a kid and I just haven’t gotten over it. I’ve had several others ask if I was mad at them or similar stuff. I JUST AIN’T FELT LIKE TALKING TO ANYONE!!!!!!!! It’s nothing personal to anyone it’s just the way it is dude.

Dairy, I has made some private entries lately. I guess I had better feel like talking to someone because I’m going on a trip with about 16 youth and 3 other adults, so I’m gonna be doing some talking I reckon.

Dairy, I got some good but sad news this week. I’ve become pretty good friends with one of the full time missionaries at Grifton, from hear on out refered to as Jim or Hokie Jim or maybe just plain Hokie. Anyway last time I went to Grifton was at memorial day and Hokie wasn’t there. Billy the director said he didn’t know if Jim was coming back. I was worried about old Hokie Jim wondering if everything was ok with him and his family. Well Dairy, we gots a card from them this week. Good news is they are ok; bad news is they are leaving Grifton. They are still gonna be in the ministry but they will probably end up in Georgia, right now they is in Florida. They are with a group called Christian Contractors Association. They are still doing disaster relief and emergency repairs for those in need. I tell ya Dairy, I see a trip to Georgia to in our future. We will just have to see where The Lord leads us. Oh yeah they may be having a baby, they already have three girls.

DAiry, how can someone you never met in person end up being one of ya favorite people.

PSALM 42:11 WHY ART THOU CAST DOWN, O MY SOUL? AND WHY ART THOU DISQUIETED WITHIN ME? HOPE THOU IN GOD; FOR I SHALL YET PRAISE HIM, WHO IS THE HEALTH OF MY COUNTENANCE, AND MY GOD.

I IS VONSTEGALL AND I HAVE NEVER MET RAYNE IN PERSON!!!!!!!!
