Hay Dairy,
It’s been awhile cents I talked to ya. Ain’t much been happening cept werking. Well Saturday me and Lynn and a couple of other couples went for some training about disaster reliefing. I didn’t really learn anything about the physicall work but I did learn alot more about the North Carolina Baptist Men. The Baptist Men nation wide make up the third largest disaster relief organization in the country behind the Red Cross and The Salvation Army. The Red Cross is providing 5000+ meals a day in Gulfport Miss. They supply the food and the Baptist Men supply the volunteers and the equipment and do the cooking.

I surely hope that this is something I can be involved in alot in the future. I am praying for opportunities for me and Lynn to serve in this capacity. At church we have had some financial problems in the recent past and I just don’t it is a good time to be trying to organize alot of trips. Even though our last one did not take one cent from the general funds there are those who may think we is being frivoulous by going so far, even if it does help restore order to other peoples lives. The NCBM are gonna be in Gulfport for the next two years and intend on rebuilding 500 homes, so there should be plenty of opportunities to go there.

Well Dairy, we was told that there would be no more time off this year except holidays. They changed their minds and are gonna give us the hole weak of thanksgiving off. The rumor is that the company didn’t like the way negotiations are going so the are gonna give us time off. If that is true their strategery is backfiring, most everyone is glad for the extra time off.

I must say Dairy, our preacher is on a role hear lately. He is knocking out some good sermons, he must be looking for another job and is maleing out the tapes to prospective churches. He preached on joy this week and wheel be doing sew for the next too weaks at least.

It don’t look like I is gonna work alot the next two weeks so I may get to talk to ya sum moar later on in the weak Dairy old pal.
