Dear Dairy,
We are making hour preparations for our vacation, only a few weaks aweigh. We have got us a three bedroom condo that sleeps eight and has room for a couple of heir mattresses. We got sew much room so that we can invite sum of hour family down while we are there. We originally invited some friends but you know we ain’t two popular and they found an excuse knot to come. Sow we have Lynn’s sister’s family coming for a couple of nights. Then her parents wheel come and then my parents and maybe my brother and his family. I also think we have one of Jamie’s friends coming for a couple of nights. I am sow looking forward two going and it is nice to be able two let someone else come also.

Dis mourning eye washeded my house(business is slow). Actually I only washed the front, eye wood have washeded the wrest butt ain’t knowbody gonna sea the back sew eye jest skipped it. I mainly washed it sew eye could put one of my signs up in the yard. It just wood knot look rite to put up a sign for a powerwashing company if your on house looks like crap.

I have a housewash and a driveway to do friday, it is in a good size nayboorhood sew maybe I will be able to get sum more work their. The dude wanted me to do it for practically free, so I cut a deal wid hymn, I telled hymn that for every job eye get in that neyborhud I’ll give hynm ten dollars, until he gets back what he payed me. So if he gives me good word of mouth advort, addver, if he tells people they should use me and they do he’ll get at least sum of his money back. I may do this for the first customer I have in each neighborhood.

My mom also took some of my business cards and flyers to her hair care place. The lady put my flyer up next to her register and another customer took my card to give to her neighbor who is gonna fix up her house(which is dirty) to cell. Lots of ifs but that is better than nothing. Heck if I work my 40 at the plant and can do a job or to own friday and maybe won own sadturdday eye wheel knot have to work any overtime at awl. Sow far I really enjoy working for myself.

I am looking forward two church tomorrow. We are having homecoming. We have a good visiting preacher coming and we will have some good cooking. I have heard that the music will be mediocre though(just kidding Doris and Jamipsyinc). I also think we are gonna have a good sunday school lesson. I say think because I never know how it will be when I am leading the discussion. We are still discussing the second coming of Jesus Christ. No one knows when He is coming except His Father, who is the living and only God. I read a sermon of Billy Sunday and he had a pretty good idea of when Jesus would come back. I agree with part of his idea. Here is my thoughts which came from Billy Sunday’s original idea. God who knows everything that will every happen knows who will accept the salvation that He offers. He also knows who will deny this salvation. God in all His infinite knowledge knows when the last person will accept His salvation plan. He also knows when no one else will ever accept it, then He will tell His Son Jesus “go get em”, that is when Jesus will come and just like the Bible tells us God is the only one who knows when that time will be. When that last person recieves Christ as personal savior there will not be any more need in letting this old world continue like it is going. Well that is my thoughts anyway. You are more than welcome to agree or disagree, either way is fine with me.

Dear Dairy,
How are you two day. I ain’t really got nothing to say. Maybe I do, yesterday was one dollar putt-putt day at celebration station. I have always won at miniature golf(against my family) but last time Lynn beat me and this time Jamie almost beat me. He had one bad hole or else he would have won. I hate to lose. Jamie was on a roll, he had two holes-in-one. I might have to go and practice without him.

Dairy dude I cut the grass today, or most of it. That is two times in august. What has gotten into me. I ran it out of gas before I quit, that way the next time I am tempted to mow I’ll have an excuse. I may never buy gas again for the lawn mower.

Here we go Dairy,
I had a pretty good run last night. Built 11 hours production, finally a good paynight.

I went and measured a wash job yesterday. I am not sure what the going rate is in this area but when I gave her the quote she did not even hesitate, of course this quote was for a friend of the builder I talked to saturday. I asked her if that sounded about right in comaparison to other pressure washing jobs she has had done. She said it was fine. I think maybe I’ll go up a few cents a foot on the next one a see what the reaction is.

This is a one story house with a big drive way and a couple of sidewalks and a patio. Hopefully they will want me to do all of it at once, but they asked for a quote on the house and the flatwork seperately, so they may want to break it up into two jobs. This means setting up and breaking down my equipment twice, plus drive to the job twice, but it beats not working at all.

We have spent a lot of money lately starting this business up. We thought it would be tighter than it is, but since going to this 5 day a week schedule we ain’t got time to friggin spend any money. I’m working six days a week and don’t feel like going anywhere or doing anything in the evenings so maybe it will be a good thing for now. I hope later we go back to the old shedule, I will have more time for washing and actually living(you know go out to eat or go to the mountains).

So far The Lord has really blessed in this business. It seems like everything keeps falling into place. I hope it continues.

Dear Dairy,
We are studying Revelation this month in sunday school. This is a hard book to understand. I have been reading it at work this week. Actually I have read it about 5 or six times and it don’t get no easier. That’s why commentaries are so important, so idiots like me can almost understand some of it. Actually last week in sunday school we had some pretty good discussion about Revelation. I really like it when the kids get involved, even though it usually means me not having an answer to a question.

I washed two houses this weekend, one on friday and one today. I think the salesman advised me to buy some mediocre cleaner. I need to do some research on other cleaners and try out something different. I made a good contact today, at the house I was cleaning. They are starting a house on the lot next door and the builder wanted a business card(they ain’t came in yet), but she gave me one of hers and gave me an address to give her a quote on next week. So I may have a job for next week. We talked for quite awhile, I explained that I was new to power washing and that didn’t bother her, in fact she was real encouraging and gave me the number to a person in the brick industry who can tell me the best chemicals for cleaning them.

So I may have more jobs coming from today’s work, which was washing my brother’s house, just sos I could get some practice and experience on two story houses. I much prefer one stories, but ya gotta take what is offered. I got me a 24 foot extension wand, which I am gonna call my butt-kicker. That’s because that thing kicked my butt today, the support belt that came with it don’t work worth a hoot.

When I came home from house washing today we all sat together and watched an Atlanta Braves game, or part of it, together. It was pretty cool watching it as a family, usually everyone is doing their own thing. Jamie tripped me out, we watched 5 innings together and the game goes into extra innings and he gets up and says “I don’t want to watch anymore.” Extra innings and he quits watching, You’d think he would want to see who wins after seeing a close game for 5 innings, oh well, I guess not.

Hello Mr. Dairy,
How are you today. I have a friggin headache, thank you for asking. I did not get that diverter job. No big deal, there will be other jobs posted.

I hate this schedule, seems like there is no time for anything but work and sleep and dreading going into work. Oh whale I guess I’ll just have to get use to it.

I got me some more equipment today, a 24 foot extension wand and some more pressure hose. Yesterday I ordered me some yard signs that are gonna match my business cards. The cards should be here any day now and the signs will be ready Friday. I am washing a house fri and sat and I will put a sign in each yard and hopefully someone else in those neighborhoods will call up wanting there house washed. Whale, if I do a crummy job I’ll skip putting up the signs.

Well I have to go now Jamie wants me to play some video games. I don’t like video games but I guess I’ll play anyway. I can always tell him I let him win. Yeaa that’s what I’ll do.

Hey Dairy,
How are you doing today? I am so glad to hear that you are doing good. I have been busy the last couple of days. Yesterday I went to get the tags for my truck and trailer. I also got my insurance, so I am ready to start working. We ordered my business cards today. They should be here in a few days and then I’ll be able to start soliciting business. I keep hearing that I should go door to door in neighborhoods. I say crap on that, if I want a service I’ll go looking for someone to do it. I will not go door to door for residential work. But commercial is different, at least I think it is. I passed by some nasty looking apartments this morning and I think when the cards get here I will go talk to the manager of the apartments.

I have a house I am going to do thursday or maybe friday. I’ll have to check my schedule(Ha!Ha!Ha!) to see can I work it in this week. I already have one home builder/remodeler who plans on using me. Now all I need to do is get me a surface cleaner and a maybe an extension wand for those two story houses. I will wait until I need them to get them.

There is a job at the plant that I have always thought I would like. Tires come by on a conveyor and the “diverter operator” keys some numbers and “diverts” the tires to whore,(opps wrong key), I mean where they are suppose to go. I imagine there is more to it than that, but you get to sit down for most of the shift. I think I will bid on this job when I go in tonight. I talked to one of the guys who is on this job now and he says there is a girl with a medical bid that will probably get it, but it is worth a shot. All that can happen is that I don’t get it. If I do get it I should feel pretty good on my off time.

Dear Dairy,
Hey Dairy, today I washed another house. Hope this trend continues.

I haven’t done much else today except take a nap, then we went and got us an ice cream. We went to a new place called the cook-out and got the kids milkshakes. We had heard it was so good and the shakes were real big. It was ok and the shakes were small. I got my ice cream at Bruster’s, it was raining so I got an extra scoop free. We also got two quarts of butter pecan: one for us and one for Lynn’s mom and dad. Lynn wanted to do something for her mom, she seems real down right now. I think the last day or two has been worst than the first four or five days after grandma died.

Tomorrow will be one week and we are all still sad. I know I would have liked to tell her about washing two houses. Everytime me or Lynn talked to her about us starting a business she was so encouraging and uplifting. I wish she could see my rig. That’s all I can say now I done got depressed talking about grandma, I wonder how long this will last, thinking about her and missing her and feeling sad every time we talk about her.

Yo! Yo! Dairy,
I had my first job today. I washed a vinyl siding house. I also did a carport and a porch. I am gonna get me a surface cleaner. It would have saved me at least an hour and would have done a better job on the flat surfaces. I was there for about five hours but only actually washed for about 3. I had to check some things in the owners manual before I started and Lynn came by and we talked for about an hour and when I finished I stood around talking for another 30 minutes. The house belonged to a woman at church, she was letting her house be my guinea pig. The first two sides took awhile but the next two went a little quicker. I started getting the hang of the washer the longer I used it. I am excited.

It was real nice being at work and having Lynn come by. Maybe whenever I work near the house we can have a picnic for lunch. I hope when Jamie gets a little older he will be able to help me some. I would not want him to do it for a living though, I want him to go to college and get educated and find a good job. I hope that is what he wants to do also. Maybe this pressure washing business will pay for his college. I had better see how I do at it first before I start making plans.

Hello Dairy,
What’s up Dairy, I have to go back to work tonight. I sure ain’t looking forward to that. I also have to start doing some power washing, I got me a rig today. It cleans at 3000PSI and 5 gallons per minute. It also has a water heater that heats the water 140 degrees above what it goes into the machine at. It has a 230 gallon water tank and it is on a 5 x 10 trailer. They would not go down on the price but I got them to throw in some extra accessories at no charge. I also purchased a 55 gallon drum of all purpose cleaner. I am ready to go. I already have three houses scheduled for this week. I am doing an elderly lady at church, she insists on paying so I’ll give her minimal charge. I am also gonna do my house and dads house.

It has been along day, especially for Lynn, she is having a hard time today. I hate that I was so busy today. I know she will never “get over” her loss, but I’m sure she will be ready at some point that the void will be not as bad(just can’t think of an appropriate word).

Dear Dairy,
We buried Grandma this afternoon. The funeral went real good and so did the graveside service. We had three speakers at the church and one at graveside.
We had two solos and one congregational hymm. We started with Jamimink singing How Great Thou Art. She did such an awesome job, it was so touching and uplifting(don’t nobody tell her I said that). Our former pastor started out with scripture and a prayer. Her pastor from her home church spoke and sang. Then our current pastor had the sermon. It was so amazing, Dairy, it really was, he started by saying God laid this scripture on my heart several weeks ago and he thought it fitted real well with Grandma. Tuesday morning after Grandma was rushed to the hospital Lynn told me she needed some comforting so she opened the Bible up and started reading Psalm 73:23. It was the same scripture the preacher preached from today. We looked at each other and all I could say was that was amazing. You could clearly see God working in this, unless of course you believe in coincedences, which I don’t.

I really liked one of the things the preacher emphasized. He talked of the relationship Grandma had with God through Jesus Christ. Then he said that if we ever wanted to see Grandma again we had better make sure that we have that personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I prayed that maybe that comment would hit the people in Grandma’s life who are lost, and that The Holy Spirit will convict their hearts in the near future.

We had some good fellowship with family after the funeral. I was so thankful for my mom this week. She was there everytime we called, she brought food and ice over to Lynn’s parents house several times, she watched the kids when Lynn had to rush to the hospital a couple of times, and she came over to my in-laws after the funeral to make sure there was plenty of food and that people who did not go to the graveside could come back there to wait for the family. She did an awesome job.

The preacher was suppose to be on vacation this week, his mother or mother-in-law, I can’t remeber which, rents a cabin in the mountains and has all their children and grandchildren up for the week. He left friday and came back sunday when he heard Grandma had went home. He has been here from sunday till tuesday. He gave up three days of his vacation for our family, he is a good preacher but he is an excellent pastor(there is a difference) and very good friend. I sure hope that he has a real good remainder of the week, he deserves it.
