Setting up w.bloggar
Shortly w.bloggar will support DearDiary.net natively (ie. you can just choose DearDiary from a list, and it will all be setup for you), but until then, you will need to set it up manually. When you first start up the programme, by clicking the icon, which should look something like this
![]()
you will be prompted to login.

On
the account, you can type whatever you would like to remember your username
with. This is especially useful, if you have several accounts. Choose 'new'
from the
drop down list, and type in your username.
To
user box type in your DD.Net username
To password box, type in your DD.Net password
When
you click OK you'll be asked if you wish to create this new account - you need
to click Yes (it only means new as far as it is concerned, not DearDiary) You
can click the save password box if no-one but you uses your computer.
NOTE
that you CAN read entries through this system, so if you tick the save
password box then anyone with access to your computer will be able to view
your private entries.
Click the OK button and you'll be given a dialog that looks like this

You
will need to change details to be, as above. Once you've done this, click on
the
Custom tab, and you will see this.

Again, you will need to make the changes, to match the screen above.
The Account Alias text can be set to whatever you like, but it will be what appears on the drop down list next time you start wbloggar. You can put a tick in the ping weblogs.com box, but the DearDiary.net server will ping weblogs.com for you if you're a Plus account holder.
