"Forgiveness is the economy of the heart...
forgiveness saves the expense of anger,
the cost of hatred, the waste of spirits."

3 Jul 2009 - Long time no update
Gosh, I just haven't been in the mood to update, but I am up early and the house is quiet so here I go.

On the Monday and Tuesday that Brian and Amber were here we spent at the coast. L-Mario drove over with me. We got there around noon and we went to lunch at the Blue Whale. Had fish and chips and then headed over to the hotel to meet up with mom, and the rest of them. We settled in. Our room faced the ocean with a wonderful view. It was so warm that day and clear. Unbelievable for the coast. I walked along the path enjoying the solitude. Then, down on agate beach with Amber and Bella searching for agates. We found a couple sand-dollars and a few nice sized agates. I went back towards the hotel, sat on a bench and stared out at the ocean.... one to my great pleasure I saw a whale breach the water. I've only seen that one time when I went to Alaska. Then I could see two or three of them spouting water. It was great. People gathered around to watch.

Around 4:30 we went to dinner. At the Blue Whale. I wasn't hunger so I just had a piece of pie. Took mom back to the hotel and then we all headed up to Waldport to crab. We walked out on the docks and could actually see to the bottom. It is about 18 feet deep. It was so clear. I have never been there where we could see to the bottom. It was amazing seeing the crabs crawling around. We didn't get any crab that was legal, but we had fun. Back to the hotel to watch the sunset. It was beautiful with reds, oranges, purples.

Up early the next morning for about a four mile walk along the path. Had my coffee in hand and just enjoyed it so much. Made pancakes in the hotel room with my griddle and then off to Newport to clam and crab. The tide was out and I stood up on the rocks watching them. Brian, L-Mario, Zack and Derrick were out in about three feet of water raking and using their toes to scrape along the bottom. We got several clams and the kids had a great time. Afterwards we went out on that dock and crabbed some more, watch people pulling pots and fishing. A man there caught a starfish and Bella was excited to touch it.

L-Mario and I headed home from Newport that night as I had to work on Wedensday.

All in all a very good time.

Marissa did not go as she started her new job on that Monday. She spent the week cleaning there. The following Monday the restaurant opened the following Monday. She has been keeping busy and got 36 hours in the first week. Her hours are now evening out to 20-25 hours a week. She likes that she is getting tips from the waitresses. Nine to have cash on a daily basis.

Father's day was nice with a BBQ.

Work is work. I miss personal injury so very much.

Steve and I are still talking although it is sporadic. I miss him terribly, but know that this is the best for me.

Going to meet Brandon and Stephanie for lunch today at Marissa's place. Haven't visited for a long time.

Ok, off for the coffee!!!!

Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with
the intention of throwing it at someone else.
You are the one who gets burned.
