13 Jul 2004 - National Anthem
Why do singers try to create their own version of the Star Spangled Banner? Why Can’t they just sing it so others ca sing along with it. Over the years I have been disgusted with singers in their attempts. A few have forgotten the words or just plain stunk. In tonight’s MLB All-star game another failed attempt was made by the American Idol star Fantasia. How she won, I cannot figure out. Yes I voted so I can complain. But she sounds like a bad imitation of Bugs bunny. And she stunk. I mean she was horrible. I just wish that sporting coordinators putting on these events would do their homework. Now in this case I assume it has to do with FOX Network. But hey open your ears people. That song is honor to this country. Stop ruining it by having people sing it that really can’t. I mean this event is aired all over the world. Let’s take some pride here.
