21 Jun 2003 - Keeping an eye on Bailey
I am really bothered by her breast bone. Im not happy feeling it. She weighted 405 this morning, no different then she is every morning, but im just not convinced all is normal. I'll be contacting the vet Monday. I think i'll have to do the Xray after all along with the blood test to see if there are any changes. In away, to not know makes me feel like im not doomed to lose her to PDD, and to know would kill me. However, to know, might mean that we need to increase her medication since she's on it and it might not be working or enough for her if PDD is indeed there. This is the ONLY reason i'd do the Xray......because it might save her. (increasing meds).

21 Jun 2003 - Better afternoon with Bailey Flying
Bailey had a good day after all the worrying this morning. Although her weight was still 405 by the time nightfall came, she was very playful, affectionate and even flying today. I want her and all my birds to fly. It means more now. At least they'll have a chance to do what they were born to do. So Bailey has been having flight lessons today with the care of mom making sure our flight areas are safe. She flew from the family room, into the bird room perfectly. She flew from her perch to me in the family room. We need more practise however on landing :-). Little Emily our Timneh Grey was also in a flying mood today. She flew from her cage to Simons back and forth back and forth over the coarse of an hour till she tired herself out. It was beautiful to watch.
