First, I've taken a few days off from writing in my diary. Instead, I concentrated on loving my birds and pretending that all was normal. It felt good to forget for a few days, although memories of Austin would sift its way through my thoughts many times a day, I would concentrate on the happy times and try to forget his suffering. Zack's Blood tests all came back normal. The good news is, our Vet felt that Zack is very heafty for a Grey. He's a big boy and bigger then the average Grey, and I was glad to hear that she felt Zack awhole lot of muscle on his breast. It's actually hard to feel his breast bone. So no signs of "waisting" in Zack, which brought some relief for the time being.
Bailey again, seems good. No extended worries as of yet. Time will tell now that she is finished her nystatin as to wheather she comes down with another infection in her crop. If she does, then I guess to suspect PDD would be stronger. In reality, there is nothing more we can do for Bailey is she did become positive or suspected. Meloxicam is our only hope and she is on it now.
The Timneh twins are doing good. I no longer worry about Emily sleeping in the corner of her cage on the floor. OUr vet said that some birds just do that and if she appears normal, healthy, eating, pooping , playing all day then this behavior is not overly alarming.
Jeffery is good. No probs.
The breeders are still on eggs. I checked them last night and so far they are clear. So im sure they are infertile again. I'll give her a few more days and pull them.
So to sum the last few days up, it;s been pretty much worry free and all seems to appear normal.
I'll be X'ing my fingers for the rest of my life I think.
