I noticed that Zack has had diarhea today. His stools are now unformed pretty much all together. I am handfeeding 2x perday and I know this formula contains digestive enzymes that help to break down the formula. This may be contributing to the increased water in his stools. Ontop of that, he sucks the water and juices out of the veggies he gets 2x per day. He's always had more water in his stools then the others, but everything on the go with PDD, I need to check out for peace of mind. Zack shows no signs physically of illness. He is himself and has been very playful and happy today. I had them outside for some fresh air as well, so they are tired earlier then normal.Zack has an appt for tommorrow (friday) at noon for a graim stain.
Now Emily is starting to scare me. She has those eyes like Austin did way back at the beginning of his illness. It's almost like she has an infection or something, the seem red at times. She naps, eats, plays off and on throughout the day, but this visual along with the fact she's been sleeping on the bottom of her cage in a corner is different. Mabe she always did that ? I never checked on the birds after putting them to bed.......but since I lost my baby, I do every night and have descovered her sleeping in the corner.
I've added heat for her in her cage along with a soft towel for the her corner she finds comfortable.
I will discuss this with our vet tommorrow. Emily is on Meloxicam already.
Bailey is getting better also. Her digestion seems satisfactory now.
In closing for tonight, I have to note that I refuse to subcomb to thinking the worst with the rest of my babies. I have highest of hope in meloxicam. It HAS to work. It just has too. Im trying to be as positive as possible, otherwise, i'd go insane.
I really miss my baby Austin. Tears still fall when I think of him.
