Is there any theory out there that PDD could be caused or induced by some
type of chemical change that happens during times of extreme stress, and not
neccesssarily caused by a virus?.I'll pull any thought out of hat when it comes to this disease!! *S*.
My thoughts are: I am around my birds all day long, they are out of their
cages all day long and have plenty interaction with me every day. My husband
and me hestiantly took a much needed 1 week trip to Cuba. My sister, mother,
and both of their dogs and my sisters 2 yr old rambunctious and hyper (but
love her to death of coarse) child stayed here and looked after my birds for
that 1 week.
NOW, we have 2 dogs barking, a young hyper baby crying and screaming
constantly, the 2 new people looking after the birds, me being gone. Time in
the cage due to my family needing to go out for apptments and so forth. You
can picture the stress they must have been in.
I came back and 1 1/2 weeks later is when Austin got sick. Prior to that of
coarse he was perfectly healthy in my eyes.
So just wondering if a theory of PDD being caused by some chemical or some
other breakdown in a birds system due to extreme stressful situation.
