21 Jul 2007 - week
This week was just so mellow and nice.

I was waiting all week for my avon shipment to get here so I could bathe my dog this weekend. I ordered some peach bubble bath to do it with. I'm just so sick of the dog shampoo smells. They're way too sweet for the cheap ones and I'm not spending an arm and a leg on doggy shampoo and the bubble bath was on sale. He had other plans. I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday he wasn't feeling well. I realized after it was all said and done that he had a cold and the past week has been going through bouts of the runs and then being really constipated.

I woke up and had to play find the smell and it was in his crate. He had a little accident in there. He never goes in his crate ever unless it's an emergency and then he tries to hold it or a seizure. This wasn't a seizure. I drug him in the crate outside and he had the runs super bad. I bathed him that morning and cleaned out the crate obviously. So never got to use the bubble bath. In the 45 minutes of grooming afterwards I discovered basically a Jheri curl around his but in the thick hair. Fluffed it out and he had this giant butt afro. I think he might have a little ear infection too so I have to keep an eye on their dirty ear. I cleaned his ears out too.

In the mean time the cats have been sick on and off (I think they have a little bug going around). One of them has had the runs too and the other one is coughing up some good sized hair balls. Which meant buying hairball remedy for her because I am not paying to get one removed from her intestines.

I heard back from my field placement supervisor. She filled out her form send it to the director to sign. The director will get it back to her and then she'll send it on to my advisor and then I can register. My advisor is on vacation until the 30th.

Still hadn't heard back from the school about financial aid but in the meantime I have gone online to find out if that will affect my health insurance. Found out as a grad student they can't hold the grants or the loans against me just fellowships and I don't have that. So I printed up that because I have this feeling there will be a hefty dialog about that.

The school answered an e-mail about when I'll hear back about the award letter. They said for grad students they hope to have it done in 2 weeks. They got the undergrads done. So 2 more weeks of waiting on that. They also have released the list of books for fall. Only is going to cost me $378 this semester for books. Not to bad.

I know how long this financial aid takes to get sorted out so my mom offered to pay for the books and have me pay her back once that goes through so I'm not sitting on the first day of school with no books. I told her I'd think about it. I know I wouldn't be the only one. I wasn't before either in undergrad. I started to wait to buy books until I saw if we would use them or not.

Good news is that tuition payments aren't due until October.

Weather says it's going to be up around 100 next week. Just great. My window air conditioner doesn't stand a chance against that mess. But the weekend it should be back down in the 80's. Glad I mowed the lawn on Thursday when it was still cool.

That's pretty much my life there this week in a nutshell. Nothing really exciting has gone other than stuff slowly but surely getting worked out.

I did my back to school shopping. got my notebooks. Decided to go with regular sized ones after looking at the little ones. Got my high lighters and I got an organizer calendar thing that starts in january. It apparantly is a 2 year deal. I didn't know that when I bought it. You fill in the dates and stuff on your own. The one I have now goes until January so I figured that was as good of a place as any for the new one to start.
