It has been said that there is more than one way to skin a cat. I have no idea where that expression came from. The one nice thing about photography is that there is more than one way to take a picture, actually there are 100s of ways to take any one picture. Aperature size, lens speed, and subject framing are the three more important aspects of photography, but it is lot more than that. For me, the fun of photography is not just taking automotic shots, but in manually selecting the proper settings, and manipulating them to get the effects that I want. One thing that I am working hard on, is being able, in the dark, to use all of my camera's features. I really got a lesson in that the last two nights, and you can see that I did improve somewhat last night from the previous night. Being sober helped too I guess.
