ALOHA....come on in, the natives are friendly. 14 Jan 2004 - Man...What winds! I awoke at 3 am this morning with the sound of wind whistling through the trees and over my roof. By 7 am the winds were a consistent 40 mph, gusting to 60 or more. The front bougainvillia bushes/trees that grow over my front fence, all blew back on the house side and I have a mess to clean up after the storm is over. The power has been going on and off since 8 am so I don't know how long it will stay on this time. I heard on the radio that over 50 roofs have blown off homes and that downed power lines and trees have have closed many highways. The road to the Northshore is shut down from one end to the other.
