28 Nov 2003 - Sailing, Eating and Football

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Duke and I had a great one. We started out by going sailing on Wednesday afternoon. It was a beautiful sunny day although the winds were quite lite and variable. A couple of times we found ourselves dead in the water. Later in the afternoon the wind picked up though and we did not have to paddle back to the slip.

Moored and all buttoned up After we returned from sailing we headed downtown to a new sushi bar and pigged out on sushi and other delicacies. I was up at 5:30 Thanksgiving morning to make my stuffing, stuff the bird and get it into the oven for a 6 hour bake. The first football game came on at 7 and I timed dinner for 1 pm which was about half-time of the second game of the day. It all worked out wonderful, the food was great, the football was great, and the only negative was having to clean up the mess in the kitchen. After dark Duke and I took a long brisk walk to burn off some calories.
