ALOHA....come on in, the natives are friendly. 22 Nov 2003 - OK...Here it is I know that you have been waiting for the pictures of the Stapelia gigantea bloom. Ta Da 22 Nov 2003 - Yes it does.......STINK! ....but only if you are within 10 feet of it. I have it up on a ledge downwind. Duke sure was curious about it, he kept giving it funny little wrinkled nose looks. We have had some really high surf the past couple of days, up to 50' in some areas. At Kailua Beach, where the surf is seldom more than 2' they had 25 footers yesterday. Much of the beach was washed away and some damage was done to the beachside homes. I was going to go to the north shore to take pictures today, but the roads along the coast have been closed on and off, and the tourists have all headed up there so it would be a real mess traffic wise. We are off to a BBQ.
