My first attempt at an online diary. AOL in Britain has finally changed to unmetered access - hooray!Today my daughter and I went to my father's house and there we met up with my sister and her family. As usual we had a traditionally English lunch of fish and chips. This being Christmas week, we all swapped presents.
Kay, her family, myself and my daughter all walked to my Aunty and Uncle's house and chatter for about an hour - again swapping presents.
After a snacky tea we visited my 95 year old Nana at her old-people's home and left her presents in her room. Her legs were very bad - sore - they looked terrible. Nana doesn't hear very well and we had heard reports of her being very withdrawn and quiet but as soon as she saw the one she knew the best from years ago - Kay - she brightened up. She remembered Dee, my daughter but seemed thrilled to see Kay again.
Coronation Street and Brookside were good tonight on the telly. I always enjoy those programmes. I have taped several other programmes and will watch them tomorrow when I have more time.
Do you like standing in a queue (in line) for your Christmas groceries? In all that push and shove, with people who have frozen, agitated faces - all having a happy (?) Christmas? ;-) Not me! I did my Christmas grocery shopping last week using www.sainsburystoyou.co.uk, booked myself a delivery spot for tomorrow afternoon (23rd) and everything will be delivered to my door! Ah the wonders of the internet! :-)
Wishing all who read this a very Happy Christmas. I shall try and get back here on a regular basis. Now to read someone else's diary on my first visit here....
Later...
Sair.
