    2 Apr 2008 - Feeling Good

For some reason my elderly IE browser has given me a formatting toolbar today!  Wow!  So you get Comic Sans and light green immediately.  :)

I took my pills last night on time.  I went to sleep at about 11 p.m.  I woke up at 10 to 7, snoozed for 10 minutes, got washed/dressed and watched BBC Breakfast, packed my handbag for work.  At the bus stop I got talking to the young woman who is always there on Wednesday mornings.  As we have become bus-watching companions at the bus stop seats over the past few weeks I told her my name and she told me hers is Lorna.  I knew someone in school called Lorna.  Nice name.    She got a lift in a taxi from a friend so we said our goodbyes - she opened the door again and asked if I would like a lift!  How kind!  I declined, saying, "No, thanks, I'm fine" and smiled.  She said, "OK" and closed the door and they went on their way.  I had no idea where the taxi was going to drop them in town and didn't want to be lumbered either with a long walk or the taxi fare, plus I already have paid for my weekly bus ticket, the Megarider and my bus stop is near work so I'm better off by bus.  At that time in the morning, it's very reliable - at 25 to 8 there are few school children around.

Had a pleasant chat with colleagues after getting files out and making a coffee, logging on to the system and setting out my desk for the day.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened today, except I received an invite to a wedding!  Will have to find something to wear because I'm not really a new clothes type of person.  I very rarely buy clothes.  Dee will LOVE to assist with that.  She's got a knack of knowing my size on the racks and what will fit me too!  She's a great substitute for my mother.  I never could easily find things to fit but both of them - expert at judging the right size.

Got paid for my overtime this week.  I only did 5 hours in that cold, unheated office on that Saturday before I got the awful cold but it's a few pounds extra.  Not many pounds after the taxman has got his hands on it but OK.

Tidied my room a bit before I came out this morning and will continue with that after a bit of a rest at home.

Chicken or tomato soup for lunch?  Chicken again.  I'm so predictable.  :)

    Later dear friends,
    Love,
    Sair xx

PS Richard and Linda - thanks for your comments yesterday.  :)

    2 Apr 2008 - Beatles and Telly
Listening for a few minutes to the Purple Chick Beatles Complete BBC Sessions Upgraded boot, Disc 2.  Everything from the BBC sessions are on these discs.  A good set.  Haven't heard these tracks for a while so I'm enjoying revisiting them this evening.  Some tracks are quite short and there are many of them so this should bring  my Beatles count up at Last.fm shouldn't it?!  :)  You can watch what I'm listening to via the widget above or at www.last.fm/user/SOLOSAIR.

I'm taking a break for a few minutes to watch Coronation Street and EastEnders so I'll be back listening to the BBC Beatles' tracks a little later.

No Stickam for me.  I'm being really good and staying away.  It's become easier for me to stay away now I know that one particular person is just plain ignorant!  Or he just won't send a civil reply because he hates me!  LOL.  Either way, I can do without feeling uneasy and an outsider and nervous and inadequate and all those other negative things.

I can't say the wrong thing or embarrass myself or be hated by anyone if I'm just minding my own business watching soaps or listening to old Purple Chick stuff can I?

I'm now TOTALLY at ease.  Not feeling sorry for myself.  Not feeling lonely.  Just feeling comfortable, grateful that I have the freedom to do whatever I want and enjoying life!!

Smiles, grins, (((HUGS))) and all that....
    Love,
    Sair xx

    2 Apr 2008 - David Attenborough's Lyre Bird
As I'm reading David Attenborough's "Life On Air" book, I'd like to show you one of my favourite film clips by David.
It's the Lyre Bird - the BBC have disabled embedding so I can't put the video here but I urge you to
