    1 Apr 2008 - Comments On Comments
Hello dear friends - you have not let me down - you left me great comments recently.

    Richard

    • You always say such sweet things - thank you.

    • I didn't watch Billy Connolly after all.

    • I can't pretend to understand anything about NASCAR or the American voting system and, to be honest with you, I'm not really interested.

    • I also don't like Yorkshire Terrier dogs much because their "yappy" bark does get on my nerves a bit. Having said that, those little puppies of yours are adorable!!!

    Linda (my WLS pal)

    • It is your words of "I think you should stop going there... it just seems to drag you down every time" that went through my mind many times. You are right of course.

    • Thanks for saying I was welcome to call you. I no longer have your addresses and phone numbers with me using the Apple Mac now, so I would appreciate a quick email with the details again so I can store them well in my Mac address book.

    • You often urge me to go outside, meet people around me. I don't like where I live much and am a bit of an agoraphobic, so, apart from work, it takes a lot to get me past the door. But I understand what you're getting at.

    • Those beautiful cards by Jackie are wonderful aren't they? I decided to pay for full access to the cards because I like to support worthwhile websites, like supporting Steve at DD!

    • Any time is a good time to eat CDM dear! LOL.

    • I made a habit ot going on cam straight after making a new diary entry so that people who subscribed and get an instant email notification, then immediately went to my new entry page could see me eating, burping, singing, dancing, yawning, chatting, whatever - straight away. :) Truth is, I spent a lot of time waiting for Mojo and he only turned up a couple of times. If you and other friends here joined Stickam and came in to chat, even without a webcam - just to text chat, after 'becoming a FRIEND', then we could all chat together! I'd enjoy a cam chat with you again! Long time no see!

    • Thank you for pointing out to me that there are people in the world much worse off than me - I need telling that quite often dear.

    • The Secret is something I need to revisit - you are correct yet again pet. {Making a mental note to watch The Secret again at the first opportunity}

    • "Another fat old git"? Never! You and your Canadian WLS friends have done so well!

    • Your last comments are so encouraging.... really geeing me up! Thank you Linda. MWAH!

    Kyra

    • Just 4 little words "HUGS" have made a huge difference to my day. Thank you Mandy.

    • Your wise words of a few days ago, I feel I must repeat here for others to read.... "I really believe that if we can all find happiness within ourselves, that sense of happiness with who we are; then we can then attract a partner who is truly worthy of us. Other wise we simply feel unworthy and this gives our 'aloneness' an even bigger influence in our lives (and thus we get down). {Hugs} It's so good that we all have each other HERE on DD... where we accept each other fat or thin, warts n all... Where there is always SOMEONE with a kind word when we are in need of it. {Hugs}" This was good to read the first time and even better a second time. I hope that others reading these wise words will find as much admiration for you as I do today and visit YOUR diaries to be YOUR companion there too. Thank you Mandy.

    • More wise words from Kyra: "Believing in our own self worth is the first steps towards meeting someone worthy. If we don't feel lovable, despite WANTING to be loved, then no one else will 'see' us as lovable. This is how the secret/law of attraction works. When we ask, we receive, but we have to fully believe we are worthy of receiving it... if we only feel worthy of receiving lonliness, then we will - unfortunately get more lonliness..." I would ask, can one ever come back to 100% confidence and belief in oneself after experiencing several consecutive years of mental abuse where systematic destroying of the soul is a daily occurrence? I would suggest that temporarily, yes, it is possible, for a short or even long period of time but the past abuse will always be part of the person and so it takes great strength of character to overcome it completely in one's life.

    • "You look a million dollars in that photo up there" - I thank you for that lovely compliment there Mandy. I think I already addressed this one. Keeping the digital photo we are most happy with and using photo manipulation softwTILLare can produce an image we are happy with but does it really represent who we are? I chucked out loads and kept the best. Wouldn't most of us do the same with the same resources? I think so. : D

    • Even MORE wise words from Kyra! On the subject of my Stickam crush/obsession.... "GOOD feelings can be found elsewhere. Hard bit is deciding to look elsewhere. Perhaps WE should all get webcams and allow ourselves to be fully educated in the world of the Beatles and other good music :)" What a great idea! Linda, Richard, David, Mandy, Paul.... we should make a DD cam chat day! : D I'd STILL be nervous! Tsk!

    • We have our "Single Parent" thing in common but I admire your determination to work at home at the same time. Working at home is not all freedom, especially with young people to distract us, limit our good intentions sometimes. I wish you so well with that.

    cpthereturn

    • Camberwick Green, Trumpton and, YES! Chigley too! I remember Chigley! Didn't see much of Bagpuss and I don't think I ever saw the Flumps - Andy Pandy and the Woodentops were my era.... probably a bit older than you. :)

    • Pity we couldn't meet up. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Lindisfarne and saw some great wildlife on your travels.... birds, rabbits, seals?

    • Brought up in Blackpool eh? I've been to Blackpool before and almost been blown away by the wind on the sea front. How do some people stay on their feet in such weather? LOL

    David

    • Just a little comment like "I wish you all the strength you need" can mean such a lot when I'm feeling down. Thanks for that David. I appreciate it very much. You are a good support to me at all times.

    • Good to know you're reading all the time - I value your friendship. The minute I know about any definite move to my new diary - if it ever happens - you will be the first to know dear. : D

Thanks to everyone who has left a comment on this diary. I plan to acknowledge most comments in future. So, if you've commented before and I've happened to read your comment but not replied, I'm sorry. I intend to do better in future. So... if all you lurkers out there fancy leaving a comment, please do! Let's have a good two-way communication. :)

Watching Coronation Street and feeling a bit lost because I stopped watching for a while. I need to get back up to speed with it.

    Later.....
    Love,

    1 Apr 2008 - I Love Paul O'Grady
Paul's back on our screens and I've missed a few I think.  This guy had a real working class upbringing in Berkenhead Merseyside.  He's just so beautifully common.  So many people can identify with things he says.  I just love this guy.  He's worked the clubs and learned his craft the hard way, in smokey, boozy clubs where most of the people just talk over your act or heckle you.  He spent many years dressed in drag but has now left all that far behind.  He has a way with people.  I just love everything about the guy.  So down-to-earth.  What you see is what you get.  There's  nothing false about him AT ALL.  Here's his site home page for you to surf around from.

I've been watching many of his interviews which are available at his site and I urge to you watch at least half a dozen too.  Take some time to relax and enjoy, not just the guests but Paul especially too.  I am only watching each and every interview just to see Paul and smile.  Click on the links for the interviews here.  I'm sure you'll love Paul just as much as I do.

He's down-to-earth, essentially common but VERY experienced in his job, working with people and so has a wonderful rapport with everyone.  He's just Paul.  Deliciously real.

    What a guy!  I love Paul O'Grady!

    More later maybe...
    Love,
    Sair xx

1 Apr 2008 - Pill Time and So To Sleep
I've been doing quite a lot of things this evening - all on my laptop - so I'm getting a bit tired now.

My thoughts right now are that I'm annoyed with one particular person who likes to give the impression of friendship with you, but who is, often quite distant and ignorant.  Two can play that game.  End of that friendship then I assume.  So sad, because it could have been so much more.  No point in going to Stickam anymore then.

I have nothing more exciting in mind than taking my usual pills and then sleeping.

A quarter to 10 in the evening.  I'm relaxed.  I'm on my own but, for once, I am feeling so grateful for the freedom that my divorced status affords me.  I've been free from extreme mental and physical torture for many years now and I have learned to please myself and do what I want when I want.  It's a solitary, lonely existance now my daughter is fully independent but I've concentrated a lot on Kyra's words that I quoted earlier and it's so true that I must learn to love myself and my life before anyone will ever want to love me.  So, so true.  I am giving your words much thought today Kyra.  You're a wise woman indeed.  :)

Dee told me she was worried about her History marks because of her regular absence from school because of her continuing intermittent illness.  She told me today that in a test in History she got yet another A.  I'm so proud of her!  She inherited her Grandma and Grandad's intelligence and brightness there's no doubt!

    "Time for bed", said Zebedee.......BOING!

    Night night
    Sair xx
