Well, I left Rob's chat at about half 5 and settled down to sleep for a couple of hours. That is the last time I shall go to chat with those people.
Managed to run for the earlier bus which was running late and was in work for 10 to 8. So I can have a little extra time for lunch. Went to get my cash at the ATM and then picked up some food at M&S. Had a sandwich and a trifle (mmmm) for lunch. 2 p.m. - back to work.
Decided to take it a bit easy for Friday afternoon and do a few pages of recording. My cold has been getting worse again. Sniffly and still coughing. I have a feeling it's going to take a hold again and I'll be back at the docs again on Monday begging for something to make me better.
Why did I get several cans of soup I don't even like at lunchtime and carry them all home, along with other heavy things? Because I love my Dee, that's why. Dee was on the same bus home as me and the second we alighted the bus, Dee held out her hands towards mine and offered to take my heavy bags from me with gestures. I was happy to hand them over. I sat down on my bench to blow my runny nose and I said to Dee she should perhaps put the bags down for a minute on the bench next to me. She said she wouldn't as the bags were light! She must be like a bloody packhorse with all those heavy school books, that's all I can say.
We had a while for a cheery chat and Dee told me that her and Chloe are best mates again because Chloe is now going out with another one of Dee's best mates. I'm pleased they are back friends together again because Dee stresses so much when they fall out. They have been the best of friends since they were much younger.
I still don't feel like writing publicly. I may change my mind at some point and publish all this but for now I'm just content to write it all and save it all up on a metapad.
I've been doing some laptop housekeeping. I did a defrag the other day but I have so many files which are no longer needed or need filing away to their proper places that I made a very vigorous start to my clean up job with the files and gained quite a bit of space. I've got a long way to go but at least it's a start.
I've asked Dee to turn the heating up as it's very cold in my room here. My nose is still cold and running. I need to snuggle down into my covers and get a bit more sleep I think. I may even watch Coronation Street but first I have to take the pills I forgot to take this morning - more penicillin. The stronger stuff has now gone and I still feel lousy. Bleugh.
