My restoration attempt has come to an end now. The car has been sold! If you have been reading my earlier postings you would know that I placed the car up for auction on eBay, and today, the winner of the auction came to pick the car up. It’s sad to see it go after putting so much effort into it but I now have a new project to get on with. My rally car! Read about my rallying progress in my new rally diary http://www.ljgray.deardiary.net
For those of you who are interested it sold for £126.00, so if I subtract that from the total I spent on the car I’ve made a grand loss of £137.30. Well actually that’s not strictly true as I still have the Mini engine, which I can use as spares for my wife’s car, so perhaps I should subtract another £50.00 from that figure leaving a respectable loss of £87.30... Not bad really!
It was good fun while it lasted but now it’s time to start rallying.
