Q
Do You have the glass for the car and is it in good condition is the running gear standard IE rear axle and front suspension And finally is there an interior with the car?A
I have the Perspex windows that were with the vehicle when I got it. They are already cut to shape and have the rubbers to fit them. The exception it the windscreen. That is the original glass windscreen that has been recessed into the dash. The rubber was not with the screen so I have modified one from a Mini, although I don't know how well it'll work.
The majority of the welding has been done, just the near side sill needs attention and a front valence needs replacing. The joins in the roof have been filled along with areas such as where the door handles used to be and where chrome trim has been removed. (the chrome is with the car if you want to replace it). There is still some preparation work required on the body before painting as some of the filled areas are a little rough but most of it has been done already.
The running gear is all standard although the suspension has been lowered. The rear is lowered using blocks on the leafsprings but I don't know how the front was done as I have not has it apart. The engine needs replacing or rebuilding as it is currently stripped down as I was trying to make an 1000cc A+ fit, without success. Read all about it in my August diary entries.
As for the interior. It has all the seats, both door cards and the dash top but does not have headlining or carpet.
